                            I love horses, so I suppose it was natural for me to be drawn to want to help rescue horses. I saw  a video of an abused horse and the transformation a little love and care can make. That video inspired this song: "From the heart I come and I'm only one, but it takes only one to make a difference..."

Equine Voices Volunteer Appreciation Party @ Kristofer's Bistro 1/29/12

We had a great time @  the volunteer appreciation party @ Kristofers in Amado,AZ. After dinner, we had a wonderful sing a long, around the campfire, out under the stars. What an amazing time.  Music is such a bridge that brings people together...
 During the dinner, a video was shown of the volunteers with the rescue horses.  The song I wrote called "Voices", that's about rescue horses, was  playing in the background, as we watched the video. What an honor to be a musical voice for this important cause...

It was great  singing for Anna Twinney's Animal Communication Clinic and singing for the other guests @ White Stallion Ranch. What a connection through music: "Just a Horse", "The Horse Nobody Could Ride" and a new one Carol Moore from White Stallion Ranch had shared with me the week before, that I had just learned & shared with  all of them: "Come Ride with Me". Speaking of riding, I throughly enjoyed riding @ White Stallion Ranch AND doing team penning for the 1st time!

So far, this November has been fun and fulfilling, with music and horses. On Mon., Nov.14th my husband Kevin and I visited Equine Voices, a  sanctuary for abused horses. How inspiring to see the work Karen Pomroy and her staff of volunteers are doing to rescue and restore these beautiful creatures. I shared some songs with Karen in their lovely new Equine Voices Memorial Garden: "The Horse Nobody Could Ride",  "Just a Horse", "Watercolor Ponies" and "Come Ride with Me".  I will have the pleasure of providing some Live Music at  Equine Voices *Holiday Open House on Sat. Dec. 10th, 2011 from 12:30 - 4:30pm

SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER MUSIC HAPPENINGS

 I sure love what I do! Music is  such a great bridge for meeting people and creating good times.
This Sept. I had the pleasure of playing for a couple events at BANDIT OUTFITTERS @ COLOSSAL CAVE PARK. One was a wagon ride/cowboy cook-out for a retirement group from La Posada, Green Valley,AZ.
The other was a private retirement party. Great people..good times... From the little kids to the older folks, everyone enjoyed the wagon ride, delicious food, the music and the sing-a-longs around the campfire.

October 6th I did a show @ THE BONE-IN STEAKHOUSE. What a great turn out and wonderful time. I love this place. Great ambiance, food, staff and customers. Many  who came were 1st time customers and loved the food made by their excellent chef.  Their smokehouse  meat is melt in your mouth delicious with yummy sauces. The connections made over music with the guests that evening are ones I'll cherish. Did I already say I love what I do?!
